Google is set to include video ads on the Google play store:
Before you flare up, Google has promised that the ads won’t autoplay and would be targeted using machine learning. What that means is this, for the times you visit the Google Play Store to download an app, Google will send you video ads relevant to the games and apps you have installed on your device.
On the publishers’ side of things, this is great news, because targeted ads.
But from the users’ end, this isn’t good. However, as long as Google doesn’t make them intrusive, I reckon that we’d survive.
In other news, Google will now let you play games before you download them. Here is a list of games that are currently supported.
- Clash Royale by SuperCell
- Words With Friends by Zynga
- Solitaire by Zynga
- Final Fantasy XV by Epic Action LLC
- Bubble Watch 3 Saga by King
- Mighty Battles by Hothead Games
