Get a free Google Home when you purchase an LG G6

Boy, do we have an awesome deal for you. Today, LG reached out to us to let us know about an upcoming promotion where you’ll receive a free Google Home on LG when you purchase a brand new G6. Pretty dope. The promotion, dubbed the LG G6 Google Home National Promotion, goes live today. Head over to LG Promo Site when you purchase a G6 before April 30. You’ll have to fill out some information like your name, email, where you’re from, and your carrier. There’s a button to uncheck if you don’t want to receive information about LG products but the site design is a bit wonky and I was unable to get that unchecked. Make sure you don’t wait around too long on this offer because it closes up shop on May 15. As an owner of a Google Home, I can’t say enough good things about it. This is an awesome chance to get one for free!

MagCable Magnetic microUSB Cable simplifies charging (Deal of the Day)

While most of the new phones and devices on the horizon feature the USB Type-C charging standard, a lot of what we currently own does not. We venture to guess that you’ve got a number of gadgets lying around the house that need microUSB for charging. If there’s one thing we like about having Type-C charging, it’s that we can plug the cords in with much less thought. There’s no wrong way to plug it in! Wouldn’t it be nice if there’s something to make microUSB easier? There is. Our Deal of the Day is the MagCable, a cable that features magnetic tips. Simply stick one piece into the microUSB port of your phone and then the cable snaps to it when you’re ready to charge. Done charging up? Pull it, and get going. About Charge your Android and other micro USB devices smarter with the MagCable. This cable comes with magnetic micro USB tips to separate easily, preventing catching your phone cable and dragging your phone to the ground. But even better, MagCable allows you to instantl...

TECNO FINALLY RELEASES ANTICIPATED MONSTER DEVICES PHANTOM 6&6+

There was a lot of drama on Tecno twitter handle yesterday and a lot of fans actually thought they’ve been hacked… Tecno Mobile Nigeria had earlier taken to twitter to conduct a poll that had trouble written all over it. But its their new way of announcing their incoming Phantom beast with the Hashtag, #BeautyAndTheBeast. This is one of TECNO’s most impressive marketing strategy, and  it is quite commendable. However, they’ve unveiled the beauty and the beast out of the mask, their very own newest monster device in the phantom series which will be launched in Dubai this September 25th, 2016. I guess you are already prepared to witness the launch and I can only imagine the price of the next Phantom device from the third heavens. Nice marketing strategy Tecno Mobile Nigeria. Lots of truths are surrounding this device but let us wait until the day of the launching. You can check out some of the rumored specs and Photos here

SELF DRIVING CARS #THEFUTURE IS NEAR

This an interesting piece i stumbled upon while checking ☑ tech  updates on  techcrunch  the image i used for the  post  is from shutterstock In the opening scene of the franchise’s 1982 motion picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, the U.S.S. Enterprise responds to a distress call from another ship, the Kobayashi Maru. Stranded in an area of space that the Enterprise can’t enter without risking interstellar war, the limping ship has almost 400 souls on board and is quickly losing life support. These people are going to die without help; the captain has an impossible choice to make. The scene is later shown to be an unwinnable simulation, created as part of a training scenario. Deciding to not aid the Kobayashi Maru results in the death of its crew and passengers. However, acting to help the stranded ship will trigger conflict and result in the death and destruction of the Enterprise. The theme of a no-win scenario is prevalent throughout the rest of t...

TECH NEWS I MISSED THIS MONTH

I haven't posted much this March, this is due to my preparations for my semester exams. Anyway, check out some tech news I missed this week in memes and GIFs. SAD NEWS FOR NIGERIANS: NO XIAOMI MI 5 ANYTIME SOON! According to reports, Xiaomi flagship devices will no longer be sold in Nigeria. Wondering why? Apparently, Mi-fone (I can relate if you are wondering what/who they are. – They are a Mauritius-based phone company) feels that the Xiaomi MI series might create confusion with their brand since their names are similar, so they raised an injunction against them. No word on when the issue will be cleared :'( YOUR INSTAGRAM FEED IS ABOUT TO “SCATTER SCATTER” Brace yourselves Instagrammers, Facebook is about to ruin Instagram for you. They feel you miss an average of 70% posts, so to remedy that, they are introducing a Facebook-like algorithm that will sort images and videos based on what you are likely to be most interested in and not based on the most recent.
